Sabrecats -7 at Tampa

Last year I had some modest success betting the AFL. I am not even close to being a competent AFL capper. Living in Tampa I have had the chance to attend lots of Arena games and two Arenabowls. I think I have a decent feel for the Storm. I didn't think I would place a wager on the AFL for a couple of weeks. I planned on following AFLGURU until I had a strong opinion. But, I am going to the game and thought I would take the 7 and root the Storm on to at least a cover.

But, it looks like a tough spot for the Storm. Sabrecats seem to have a mental edge over the Storm right now. The loss of Tolliver doesn't help either. I also am not sure what kind of crowd will be at the Palace today. Yesterday was Gasparilla. It is a very rowdy day and it takes lots of steam out of the city for a couple of days. This may seem trivial but, I just have a feeling.

I will contribute some decent AFL post this year but this one may not be in that category. If the Storm win outright I will not be sorry but it seems like a stretch. Please allow me a mulligan if this one goes in the lake.

I wanted to add that the AFL can't be considered a public sport. It has grown enough for the oddsmakers to pay attention though. I have to believe that giving the Storm seven at home is not a gift. They will get plenty of Storm money. Every little thing just seems to point to the Sabrecats.

Last post, gotta leave for the game. Just got Sabrecats -7 +102 at Pinnacle. Seems like money is coming in on Tampa. Good or bad? We'll see.
